The Gladiator by Christiaan Bradley is a high-performance small-wave weapon engineered specifically for good surfers who refuse to compromise on performance when the conditions turn small and mushy. Designed as a direct translation of your regular shortboard but packaged into shorter, wider dimensions, this model is built for pure, unadulterated small-wave shredding.

Taking its core DNA from Leonardo Fioravanti’s high-performance Roman blueprint, Bradley has flattened and widened the rocker template to create a lively, fast, and incredibly responsive machine. Due to the massive global demand for this model, the Gladiator is also offered in Bradley's patented LC6 Epoxy/Carbon technology. This construction provides added flotation and a unique carbon flex pattern that snaps back instantly, allowing you to extract the absolute maximum speed and pop from even the weakest waves.

This model is best suited for intermediate to advanced surfers looking to maintain an aggressive, radical shortboard approach in sub-optimal surf. Ridden 2 inches shorter and 1/2 inch wider than your standard shortboard, the Gladiator comes in both wide and narrow standard dimensions to fit your exact style and frame perfectly.

Regular high-performance shortboard outline adapted into a more compact, wider silhouette to maximize planing surface area and paddle power. The template retains a highly functional, sleek nose and tail curve, allowing you to fit into tight-radius pockets without catching, while maintaining the necessary width to fly across flat sections.

Bottom Contours

Shallow concave and flattened performance rocker — The hull incorporates a shallower single-to-double concave compared to deep-hollow boards, creating a much more lively, loose, and free-flowing sensation underfoot in powerless surf. This is masterfully paired with a flattened and widened version of Leonardo's performance rocker, generating instantaneous down-the-line acceleration and effortless carry over mushy sections.
