The Scalded Cat is built to transform average surf into pure fun. Designed through countless prototypes and real-world testing, it’s a small wave weapon that maximizes performance when conditions are less than ideal — turning summer slop into your favorite kind of session.
With a semi-fish outline and full pointed nose, this board blends retro styling with modern function. The low rocker gives it excellent glide, drive, and paddle power, while the carefully tuned tail rocker keeps it loose, lively, and responsive. Underneath, a single to double concave runs through an accentuated V-spine at the tail, creating razor-sharp responsiveness and fluid transitions from rail to rail.
The deck features a flat profile and retro thickness distribution, with volume carried forward into a small beak nose — a dream for paddling into waves early and effortlessly. The rails are medium to full, giving you forgiveness and float without sacrificing bite. At the back, a double wing swallow tail reduces surface area behind your back foot, allowing for fast, controlled turns and precise rail engagement.
Standard fin setup is a twin plus stabilizer for that fast and loose feel, but the Scalded Cat also offers versatility — available as a 5-fin option if you prefer to ride it as a thruster or quad.
